What’s the exercise for?
To help you see why taking steps to address your situation is important (using negative motivation).

Read the exercise “pessimistic version” description first, as you’re going to imagine things whilst in deep concentration. To avoid any distraction, you need to know what the next steps are before you start.

Movie – part I

Then make yourself comfortable and get ready to watch “the movie” inside your head. On the screen you are watching ……….. (your name) as he/she lives his/her professional life. For a few minutes you are just watching:

  • All his/her activities, all duties,
  • All the things he/she is responsible for,
  • How he/she is treated at workplace,
  • How he/she treats coworkers,
  • How much free time he/she has for themselves,
  • What is his/her emotional, physical and mental state ,
  • What are his/her thoughts that never leave his/her mind…
